Ickleford Squash Club

The club aims to be the most friendly, inclusive, and vibrant squash club serving Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage, Luton and surrounding areas. We have two well-maintained, heated, squash courts with LED lighting, a viewing gallery with seating, an on-site bar, changing, and sauna facilities.

Members have access to over 100 regular players, a very active monthly leagues system, frequent tournaments, regular social events, and teams competing in the Herts county squash leagues.

Squash 57 (formerly known as Racketball) is also played at the club and is gaining popularity.

For those starting out, or looking to improve their game, group and individual coaching sessions are available including regular Ladies and Juniors sessions.

We don't provide "pay and play" to non-members, but you can try out our club nights free of charge and/or join as a trial member very easily for as little as £20.

Become a member

To join the squash club, please submit an application form to the squash secretary, together with the appropriate subscription fee. Members can bring a guest to play free of charge for up to 6 times per year - after that we would kindly request that they also join as a member.

Personal Coaching

Our resident squash coach is Greg Millhouse of Superstar Squash. He is England squash level 3 qualified and is able to cater for private and group training sessions from age 3 upwards. Please see the Superstar Squash website for further information, availability, and pricing.

Club Night

Club nights run every Friday evening from 7pm to ~9pm, and every Sunday evening from 6pm to ~9pm. You do not have to be a member to take part and these sessions are free of charge. This is an ideal opportunity to try out the facilities and to meet some existing members.

Ladies Squash Training

Ladies Squash Training runs every Sunday morning from 11am to 12:30pm. You do not have to be a member to take part and these sessions are free of charge. Coaching is available and players of all standards are welcome to take part, including complete beginners. Equipment can be provided if necessary.

Junior Squash Training

Junior Squash Training runs every Wednesday from 6pm to 6:45pm for beginners, and from 6:45pm to 7:30pm for advanced players. Children aged 10 to 16 years old can take part. You do not have to be a member and these sessions are free of charge. Equipment can be provided as necessary.

Squash 57

The club is actively promoting Squash 57 (formerly known as Racketball) and is proving popular amongst our members.

The Squash 57 leagues are mixed-ability, so you are welcome to take part, regardless of your standard of play.

If you need to borrow equipment, then all the kit you need can be found in the sauna area - the court key works for the door. Please return any equipment that you borrow immediately after use so it is available to others.

Prices

As a not-for profit organisation we try to keep membership prices and court fees to a minimum. All fees are used for maintaining and improving the club for members.

Special Offers

We are currently offering 3-months trial membership for just £20 to new members. Trial membership provides the same benefits as Full membership, but for a limited period of time. When the trial period is over, you may either pay the remaining membership rate for the rest of the year or terminate your membership.
